Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy...
CCD Business Development Corporation is recognized as one of the leading economic development organizations in the United States, and is the federally recognized Economic Development District for Coos, Curry and Douglas counties. This designation is assigned by the Economic Development Administration (EDA) which is part of the U.S. Commerce Department. As such each year CCD is mandated to prepare and update a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The preparation of the CEDS and many technical assistance and grant writing activities are services provided by CCD to cities, counties, and special districts in our rural area. This is made possible by a planning grant CCD receives from EDA to provide this capacity. The current Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) identifies long-term and short-term priorities for the region; provides a needs examination and resource analysis; and discusses an investment strategy and implementation plan.
